ZION: What Is the Matrix?

[ "Do you want to know what it is?" ]

The answer to the question you've been wanting to find out about; What is the Matrix? It's simple. The Matrix is a lot like the Internet, a computer program, a video game, and a secret government agency mixed together. It is depicted in the film, as a world, in which humans are concealed of the truth that the world that they are currently living in is an enormous, machine-made computer program, in which its sole purpose is to keep humans under control. The Artificial Intelligence machines created the Matrix, so that the people in the world, wouldn't know that human beings would be grown, instead of born, since humans combined with a kind of fusion is an abundant source of energy. As Morpheus explained to Neo,"The Matrix is a computer-generated dreamworld, built to keep us under control, in order to change a human being into this (energy for the machines)."

In the Matrix, you can move in and out as you please, just like using the Internet. To get into the Matrix, you dial a number and sign-on. To get out, you sign-off, but sometimes you might get unlucky and be kicked off, meaning you get killed. In another way, you can win or lose, like a video game. Going from level-to-level, encountering with danger and hopefully, escaping it.

Some rules can be bent and others can be broken. Like how Morpheus demonstrated, he could jump from one building to another at high altitude. Trinity could run on walls for a brief moment, like how Neo dodged the bullets on top of the government building. The Matrix isn't the real world, it's only a program, so there's no real rules.
